The list of Centres for JEE (Main) Examination announced by Central Board of Secondary Education on its official website www.jeemain.nic.in for Architecture Test examination, the only mode of test is pen paper mode, For this test the name of the ciry Chennai is not there in the list. This alarmed the architecture aspiring students of Tamil Nadu. It seems the reason is, not much of candidates are applying for architecture. Last year, just 3000 students took architecture Entrance test through JEE.
CBSE has listed 100 cities for this test. Which include Mumbai, Kolkatta and even some small towns. But, the name of Chennai did not take place.
Regarding JEE (Main) according to the JEE (Main) official information, Paper I test can be written either by on line or offline. But, Paper II test can be written only by offline. The online selection can be opted in Chennai, Cuddalore, Dindugal, Kanyakumari, Karur, Namakkal, Salem, Thanjavur and Tuticorin. The centres in Coimbatore and Madurai has both options for both options for Engineering and Architecture. The students who are interested to take only architecture or Engineering as well as architecture necessarily travel to Pondicherry, Coimbatore or Madurai. Missing of Chennai is the first time. The option is also first come first served bases. The offline exam will be on April 6, Engineering is from 9 AM to 12 Noon and Architecture from 2 PM.
