Five new Department in Madras University

Five new departments will be started  in Madras University besides a centre for stem cell research for human welfare.

The chancellor and Government of Tamil Nadu His Excellency K. Rossaiah have granted for approved to this plan. The departments which going to be added to the 156 year old and prestigious institution are

1)     Department of Network and Information Technology

2)     Department of Bio Informatics

3)     Department of Material Science

4)     Department of Social work

5)     Department of women studies.

And the centre for stem cell Research for Human Welfare.
