United States researchers have identified that the aptitude for Maths begins to develop when they are just 6 months itself. This should take into account to train mathematics to the young children.
Elizabeth Brannon, a Neuro scientist at Duke University in Durham, North California did research in this area and showed that 6 months old babies have a number sense in varying degrees. In an experiment the scientists have shown to the group of babies, two screens. In one screen a constant number of dots that changed in appearance. The other screen showed a changing number of dots that also changed in appearance.
It was found by Brannon that some babies had a better number sense spent more time looking at the screen with changing number of dots. This was tested with various probabilities of age groups.
It was found that the babies who had been looking at the changing number of dots more when they are 6 month old scored consistency higher in the tests than 3 ½ years of age. According to him, the first 6 months of the babies life there are some influences to incline towards Maths.
