A film on Mathematician Ramanujan

Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujam is eccentric in approach and it is obvious genius and eccentricity got hand in hand always. The proposed film is based on how the extraordinary intelligence of a man like the Mathematical wizard Ramanujan was not identified or acknowledged by the then society. According to Gnana Rajasekaran, the director of the biopic Ramanujan the Indian society did not realize the specialties of the Mathematical wizard. The film will be released both in Tamil and English. Normally the society trys to covert these like persons to the stage of an average person. The film maker was a Civil Servant earlier and he made earlier biopics on Subramaniya Bharathiyar and E.V. Ramasamy Periyar.

This great Mathematician ran away home while he failed in Matriculation Mathematics Examination. It is interesting to note, according to the leading daily The Hindu, to a notice was published in Hindy by his father on September 2, 1905.

According to Rajasekar, even in pre vedic period the Indian society could not realize the Importance of the personalities like Ramanujan. Of course, even in a Brahmin family like that of Ramanujan, the same to mistake happened. It was none but Prof. Hardy identified the talents of Ramanujan and took him to England.
