Academies function based on day to day realities

A parliamentary panel has recommended of comprehensive review working Sahitya Adademy, Lalit Kala Academy, Sangeet Natak Academy, National School of Drama and Indira Gandhi National Cenrtre for Arts.  The object is to tune them to present day realities and requirements.

The committee is headed by the  Member of parliament from CPM Mr. Sitaram Yechory recommended that only artists should manage these institutions to make them professional, responsible and accessible.
