Foreign students in Punjab University

Punjab University has been ranked as Number one University in India and 239 in the world by Times Higher Education Survey.  It has 140 international students.  These students are from 17 countries.  These students are mostly from Iran, Afghanistan, Maldives, Iraq. Tailand. Ethiopia. Nepal, Vietnam, Singapore, Canada, Australia, Swedan, Germany, UK and US.  65 students are female students.  62 International students are doing PhD degrees in anthropology, botany, bio Physics, Bio Chemistry, Chinese and Tibetan, Computer science and applications, communication studies, law, economics, education, English and cultural studies, history, Indian theatre, micro biology, public administration, physics, philosophy, physical education and psychology.
