Special Examinations for visually challenged B.Ed Graduates

Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha on Monday announced that the Teachers Recruitment Board will conduct a Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) exclusively for visually challenged B.Ed graduates. This announcement was given by Chief Minister, based on the demands of disabled graduates. The candidates who clear the examinations will be posted in the backlog and future vacancies. The Chief Minister told that arrangements providing special training to them who apply for these tests will be made by the District Teachers Training Centres. She also said that special trainings will be given tlo scribes. Scribes are the persons assist visually challenged to write the examinations Two hundred visually impaired post graduates will be recruited in the backlog and future vacancies after proper selection. Moreover 100 visually challenged. PG graduates, who had passed the Natural Eligibility Test, will be appointed as Assistant Professors in backlog vacancies in colleges and in future vacancies.
