The syndicate election at University of Madras is scheduled to take place on Thursday. 12 candidates are contesting for positions. The senate is the highest decision to making body of the university. The syndicate looks into the everyday affairs of the university and also makes decision on addition and deletion of colleges, functions, of affiliated colleges and appointment matter.
