It is attempted by Louis Van AGN, profession at Carnegic Metka University and his graduate student Severin Hacker to translate the internet into all the major languages in order that people could gain access to information across the language barrier. But, it is understand by them this was time consuming and expensive. To avoid this they developed Duolingo which is a tool that helps English speaking people to learn Spanish, French, Italian, German and Portuguese. This process may involve millions of web users. Even non-English people can learn English in this process.

The language learning process has been divided into small exercises. Learners are taught basic words, colours, names of animals. The learners then can learn grammar.

On completing each exercise, users are awarded points and speaking contexts are covered in the learning process step by step.

Duolingo connects with Face Book to get the names of friends who are already learning this language. Once the user master languages, they are persecuted with sentences from red web page that has to be translated as a part of their learning experience.

This also has mobile applications and Android devices. The learning process is not costly and the learning itself is like a game.

The advantages are visually pleasing graphics. The biggest speaking here is no charges being levied or no display of advertisement
