Generators to Chennai Schools

Chennai Schools are badly affected because of power shortage.  Chennai Corporation is vigorously taking steps to provide generators to all schools

Chennai Corporation called for tenders to install 20KVA / 30 KVA / 625 KVA generators in 8 schools in Anna Nagar costing Rs.33 lacs.  In the same way it is planned to provide generators to 11 schools in Thiru.Vi.Ka Nagar at the cost of 54 lacs.  For the cost of 47 lacs schools at Tynampet will get generators.  In the same way all the Chennai High schools and Higher Secondary Schools and other zones will get generators. Now a number of provide schools, in the city use 10 KVA to 50 KVA generators. But Institutions use 50 KVA to 500 KVA.
