Hon. Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalitha inaugurated the National Law School at Navalur, Kuthapatti near Srirangam and the Government Medical College in Thiruvannamalai through Video conferencing from the Secretariat.
It is the division of the State cabinet to open the law school in Srirangam the constituency of Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
On Thursday, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu gave the admission cards for 7 students and the acting Chief Justice of High Court of Madras R.K. Agarwal issued the cards to 5 students.
The admission to law school would be based on the candidates scores in the Common Laws Admission Test (CLAT) conducted in this year. The Vice Chancellor of National Law School said that the intake for the first batch is aimed at 100, with 45 seats reserved students applying under All India quotas, 45 seats for Tamil Nadu results and 10 for NRI.
