Many schools in California are sending letters called “fat letters” to parents telling them their children are over weight. The weight of pre schoolers are challenged in San Fernandus Valley. The registered dictation Lauren Schmith is given the responsibility to contact parents to take steps for over weight and obesity.
Sschmit said that they look atg the growth charts and percentiles. When a child is at 25% of that they look at weight for age or weight for height, that child would be considered obesity out of 900 children between the ages of two and five that she evaluated, schemit told approximately 200 qualify as obese.
