Six thousand M.E seats vacant

 Out of 19,000 Post Graduate Engineering seats, 6000 are vacant after counseling for ME and M.Tech in Coimbatore.  According to experts, the lack of placements and job opportunities may be the reasons for this.  The lack of enthusiasm for PG courses in lack of opportunities in Engineering sector. At the same time some courses like Energy Management had more demand than the rest.  Most of the colleges started the PG courses ME and M.Tech.  but, the students did not show enthusiasm for spending another two years if the chances are not attractive.
