Shasun Jain College for Women in Chennai propose to introduce Epics like Ramayana and Mahabaratha in their Management syllabus. Besides they intend to learn simple home made medical techniques for pregnancy. To achieve this, the college has a tie up with Pune based Prof. Indira Parikh’s Foundation fro Liberal and Management Education (FLAME). This curriculum will be part of BBA. Shasun is the first college in South India to launch a course on liberal education, which permits students to blend various passions. There are choices fro students to choose the subjects.
Prof Parikh said that students, in the first year of BBA one year students will have liberal education program. In the first year they will study about psychology, anthropology and sports. In the second year they will have to study regular syllabus along with advanced lessons in liberal arts.
Society oriented Research will be the project in summer vacation. They must also work with NGO’s.
Students will be taught how to manage their family and business using conventional techniques of ancestors from Ramayanam and Mahabaratham. They will also taught home made medicine for healing to be used during pregnancy.
