Equal attention to Theory and Practical for B.Ed students.
Academic Council Meeting of Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU) was held on Monday during which the changes to be brought in B.Ed Coruse were discussed. B.Ed students will have to pay equal attention to their practical and theory syllabus to get overall I class from this academic year onwards in Tamil nadu. Dr. G. Viswanathan, the Vice Chancellor of TNTEU said that the changes was routine and done periodically. The practical components for the course is also modified. The practical components which were earlier of two 150 mark and a 100 marks components, have now been condensed to two components of 200 marks each. B.Ed students have to fce two new subjects from this academic year, that is Education Innovation and Curriculum development as well as Professional course for teaching professional course for teaching proficiency. This will be helpful to Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) also. The number of annual working days is changed from 180 to 200 also.
