Real Vision of a Ph.D holder

35 years old S. Elumalai who was visually umpired was awarded Ph.D at the Seventh Convocation Ceremony of Dr. Ambedkar Law University. He received consistent Gold Medal list in various Institutions including Madras Law College and he is the native of a village near Thiruvannamalai. It is worth to state that he is the son of former. He is interested to study and generate awareness about how we are exploited in the global economy.

Elumalai is interested in the rights of farmers on their produce and Interested to educate then on Bio-privacy. Inspite of his visual Impairments he never deterred him from completing his research on intellectual property, traditional knowledge and bio-diversity.

He is totally interested in the issues related to patents on traditional knowledge and he is interested to elevate in studying trade agreements and policy.

The convocation was addressed by Former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and he covered in his address the topics on law, technology and society. He insisted the law graduates into the issues of cloning, bluethics, lunar mining, space law, cyber law and sea law.
