What judgement says about NEET
It is right time the students and parents should understand what the latest judgement says regarding NEET.
From 2013 Medical Council of India conducts an examination based on marks the students are admitted in MBBS courses. In the same way also Indian Dental Council admits candidates for BDS works. Examinations are also conducted for post Graduates Medical courses. Cases were filed against this examination.
On 2012, Dec 13, Supreme court passed an interim order stating that the examinations can be conducted, but the results should not be published.
On Jan 15th Supreme Court withdrew the stay of the NEET result.
As on yesterday (Thursday) judgement it is clearly declared that there is no power for Medical council of India to conduct the examination (NEET). This act of conducting examination was against Articles 19,25,26 and 29. As such the court says that the Entrance examination cannot be conducted by Medical Council of India. This judgement was given be chief Justice Altames Kabir and Judges Vikramjith Sen and A.R.Dave.
The other Judge A.R.Dave said that NEET examination is legal and practiced in today’s scenario and suitable for present society. So, I differ from the judgement of the two judges.
At this juncture, the decision taken by majority of judges is take an final and thus NEET stands cancelled.
