Entertaining the request of University of Malay, Malaysia, the Department of Linguistics in Bharathiar University here will conduct a three-week training programme cum workshop of linguistics to its students from July eight.
The programme will be a window for the 20 Students of Malaysia to broaden their knowledge in Tamil dictionary preparation, use of Tamil in computer, translation of Tamil text in English, understanding rhetoric technique of literature, a BU release said.
To train the students, scholars working in different institutions of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Puducherry will be invited, besides the inhouse experts, it said.
The Malaysian students will be given an opportunity to understand Tamil culture by organising field visits to different parts of Tamil Nadu.
The training will end on July 28, the release said.
