Ranking of Engineering Colleges

It is obvious that the students and parent, found at difficult to select a college to study during the process of Engineering College Counselling at Anna University, Infact there is no fool-proof method available for the students to decide their choice. Normally the students and parents decides this by word of mouth, report from secior students, Advertisements etc.

A public litigation case was filed by a parent in the High Court which states that publishing a rank bill of the colleges based on their performance will help the students choose from amoung the Institutions. There are 521 engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu under Anna University. At the same time, that the University will much probably depend on the results of all 8 semesters put together. But this kind of analysis which is based on Marks alone may not be clear discussion. It is send that the University should consider various other factors other than Marks, like Infrastructure, faculty members, Seminars and Work shops.

At this juncture, Anna University is waiting for the Govt order to release the rank list of Engineering Colleges.
