NEET - Results (Medical Admissions in India)

 The National Eligibility cum Entrance TEst (NEET - UG) is meant for selecting the candidates for Medical Admission in India.  The Central Board of Secondary Education released the first NEET results recently.  The exam replaces the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT).  All India qualifying rate in this exam is 55.66% which that of Tamil Nadu it is 49.92% 22,073 students wrote this exam, and out of which 11,019 have qualified.  More than 55% of 6.58 lac students who wrote this exam were qualified.  1,57,264 students qualified in General Category, 1,49,078 in OBC, 42,234 in SC and 16,518 in ST. 

Govt Medical colleges in each state reserve 15% of seats for All India quota.  In Tamil Nadu 322 MBBS seats. In Govt medical colleges and 15 seats in Tamil Nadu Dental Colleges has been reserved for all India quota. The results of NEET is available in www.cbseneet.nic.in ,  www.cbseresults.nic.in

The result is declared on the basis of the qualifying cretia by Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India.The qualified candidate have to complete the formalities with the respective counselling authorities including medical education directorate of state, AFMC, Private Institutions, and Universities for admission to MBBS / BDS colleges.
