New Delhi: Everonn Education Ltd., formerly Everonn Systems India Ltd., a provider of technology-enabled learning and training solutions, has launched EDUCATING INDIA, a nation-wide initiative aimed at enabling access to quality education for students across varied age groups.
Towards this, Everonn will support socially committed and motivated individuals to set up quality educational institutions, catering to different educational segments, across the length and breadth of the country.
As part of the launch, P Kishore, Founder and Managing Director, Everonn Education Ltd., said that 200 K-12 schools, 500 skill development centers, 10 engineering colleges and 27 business schools would be set up in various parts of the country, in the first phase.
"Everonn has constantly endeavored to provide access to world-class education to all students in the country. Every Indian parent aspires to give their child, the best possible education within their reach and ensure a good future for their children. Despite this, it is not comforting to observe that economic and social factors continue to deter the child's access to education in the country. It is this fact that led us to believe that the educational landscape in India needs a transformation. Education is the best gift that we could offer our children, who will be an integral part of India’s future human capital," said Kishore.
EDUCATING INDIA will involve setting up of institutions across various segments, including the K-12 segment (kindergarten to Std. XII), skill development segment (Learning-for-Earning) and higher education segment. The K-12 segment will see the setting up of pre-schools, block level schools, district-headquarter level schools, high-end and international schools.
The skill development segment (Learning-for-Earning) will offer courses in real estate, health, hospitality, logistics and construction sectors. The higher education segment will include engineering and medical colleges, business schools and arts and science colleges. Teachers' training and principals' training institutes will also be set up.
"India is the largest education market in the world, by virtue of having the youngest population, of close to 550 million Indians under the age of 25. Currently, the burgeoning Indian economy has been driving the need to ensure better knowledge and skill development across societal and cultural strata, a trend resulting in a greater emphasis being laid on the education of children right from their formative years. By means of bridging the gap between the available resources and the educational needs of millions, EDUCATING INDIA focuses on supporting socially motivated individuals with the 'prerequisite assets and will', in spreading quality learning across the country, while enhancing the employability quotient of every Indian student," added Kishore.
EDUCATING INDIA will facilitate and manage a chain of activities, starting from land identification to ensuring the smooth operation of the educational institutions. Everonn said it is equipped with the key factors that will be imperative for the success of the initiative - the reach, quality content, faculty and technology, which will be the critical leveler in the field of education in the next few years.
Everonn will largely bridge the digital divide, by implementing cutting-edge technology to deliver globally relevant content, to the remotest part of India thereby making the country a force to reckon with in the coming decade. The Government and the Education departments have formulated several favorable policies for scaling up the education scenario in the country. EDUCATING INDIA would fuel the development further and enable India to raise the very delivery of education to the next level.
"The objective of the EDUCATING INDIA initiative will be quality education for all. With this, Everonn Education would drive the much required transformation in the education and training space by offering globally relevant content, infrastructure and technology," said Kishore.
