Agriculture Graduate Students Conference to debate the themes of food safety and food security

The first ever Agriculture Graduate Students Conference, scheduled to be held here from May 2, would debate the themes of food safety and food security, with participation over 500 students across India and Overseas.

The two-day conference is organised by students of Tamil Nadu Agricultural Unviersity here, with a prime objective of offering a stimulating avenue for the students research exchange and opportunities to broaden their social and scientific network, a university release said.

The scientific program include a variety of student researchers from all over India and Overseas, which will be presented in poster, oral or plenary format to International and professional audience, it said.

With more than 400 research papers to be debated, the recent advances in sustainable crop evolution and system of market led production of high value crops are some of the thematic sessions at the conference,the release said.
