Delhi University is planning to have a separate examination cell for the smooth conduct of exams and evaluation under the four-year-undergraduate programme, which is to be introduced from this academic session.
DU sources said the exam cell will be a part of the exam branch, but will have a separate team dedicated to managing exams under the four-year-programme. The reason for a separate cell is that the new course structure will be different from the three-year structure and the evaluation process will also be different.
"Although it will be a part of the exam branch, a separate staff and head will be appointed. Officials at the level of assistant registrar and section officer will be entrusted with the task of running the cell," said an official.
In order to make the process student-friendly and avoid last minute chaos, the students will be made to fill their exam forms at the time of admissions itself.
