New Delhi: Around 200 government schools here would get a new look and well-equipped infrastructure within the next two years, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today said.
'Education department has assigned 198 school premises located in North-West, North-East and East Delhi to Delhi State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) to upgrade their infrastructure under the project 'Roopantar' (change),' Dikshit said at a function.
The DSIIDC has appointed IL&FS as a consultant to the basic minimum acceptable standards of health, hygiene and safety in these schools.
While 150 schools of the 198 figure in the second phase, the work in 16 schools have already been completed and that in 29 schools is likely to be over this month
