Students of Ravindra Bharathi School (RBS) was the only school from Andhra Pradesh to win in a contest held by USA's National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Addressing a press conference here, Chairman of the Ravindra Bharathi Schools M Subramanyam said this was the fifth consecutive year that RBS students won a position in the contest conducted by NASA.
Five projects from Dwarakanagar branch and one project form Madhapur branch in Hyderabad were selected in the contest.
He said the NASA invites projects from school children every year under the title 'NASA-AMSE Space Settlement Designs Contest'.
Dean of the school G R Vasantha said that the RBS provides an encouraging atmosphere for students where they were given access to the latest technologies and this was the key reason dor the school's success in NASA's space contest every year.
She said that a set of 30 students from Dwarakanagar, MVP and Madhpur branches will attend the 32nd International Space Design Contest 2013 to be held in San Diego, California, in the USA from May 23 to 27 this year.
