The Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM-I) will be hosting its two-day 14th annual convocation ceremony from Friday. As many as 14 differently-abled students have graduated this year, which is the maximum in the history of IIMs. Some of them have already been placed in top banking, consulting and FMCG firms.
Four Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) participants would receive the title of fellow of IIM Indore. 445 students of PGP and 13 students of Post Graduate Programme in Management at Ras Al Khaimah (PGP-RAK, UAE), 45 students of Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), 18 of PGPMX-RAK, UAE and 29 participants of Post Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (Modular)-PGPMX would receive their degrees. Out of 445 graduating students of PGP, 94 are females.
Eminent dignitaries from industry, academia and society will take part in the convocation ceremony.
During the pre-convocation ceremony, Tata Chemicals Limited managing director R Mukundan will be the chief guest. Scholarships and awards would be given to the students. State Bank of India Scholarship would go to Sakshi Makkar, Eicher Scholarship to Arshdeep Sharma, Eicher Gold Medal for Best-All Round Performance to Sayan Maiti, and KK. Alagh Gold Medal for Best-All Round Performance for Women award would go to Kriti Agarwal. The award ceremony would be followed by a popular Hindi play Bhook Aag Hai.
On Saturday, gold medals for scholastic performance would be given to the participants of PGP, EPGP, PGP-RAK, PGPMX-RAK and PGPMX-Mumbai by former justice HS Kapadia, chief guest of the convocation. The titles and diplomas would be presented to the participants by chairman of IIM-I K V Kamath.
