Punjab government has decided to allocate Rs one crore every year to the NDA training wing at Sri Dashmesh Academy here in effort to impart quality training to its students for their intake in the Armed forces.
Presiding over the meeting of Sri Dashmesh Academy trust, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal said that the state government has made this provision to make the NDA wing of the academy financially viable from the current academic session.
The state government is committed to provide state of the art training to the students to enable their absorption in the Armed forces and this newly opened NDA wing would prove to be a stepping stone in this direction, an official spokesman said .
The Chief Minister, who is also the chairman of the trust, emphasising on the need for recruiting the best faculty of teachers for providing quality education, said that it would go a long way in establishing the academy as a leading residential school of the country.
He said that it was the need of the hour that more and more number of students should be enrolled in the school by providing quality infrastructure in the school.
