Kolkata:FIITJEE Talent Support Exam (FTSE) 2009 on October 4, across 46 test centres across India.
The exam is for students who are currently studying in Class XII and those who have passed their Class XII but are want to take IIT JEE next year.
'This exam is important to all the IIT-JEE aspirants as, based on their performance, they will know their Rank Potential Index and Success Potential Index for IIT-JEE 2010. This will help them evaluate better as to where they stand in terms of competitive merit, what more they have to do to achieve and how well they have to prepare for it to secure a seat in IITs,' said Joy Mukherjea, Vice President – Corporate Communication, FIITJEE.

Exam results will be declared on October 22 and will be announced on www.fiitjee.com.
FIITJEE has also decided to support the top 300 meritorious performers in this with cash prizes, fee waivers for FIITJEE programmes and hostel fee concessions. The prizes are:
First prize: Rs 150,000, with 100 per cent fee waiver,
Second prize: Rs 90,000, the second prize with 90 per cent fee waiver
Third prize: Rs 60,000, the third prize with 75 per cent fee waiver
There are also 297 additional prizes including fee waivers and hostel concessions to be given to the top 300 performers in this talent support exam.
This Talent Support Exam will be conducted on a combined JEE syllabi of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at All-India FIITJEE centres.
The centres include:
Delhi (South Delhi, East Delhi and North-West Delhi), Delhi NCR (Gurgaon & Noida), Amritsar, Bangalore, Bhilai, Bhopal, Bokaro, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi, Shaktinagar (NTPC) and Visakhapatnam besides other test centres across India and they are Delhi NCR (Ghaziabab), Allahabad, Bhubaneshwar, Dehradun, Ernakulam, Kanpur, Kota, Nagpur, Neyveli, Patiala, Pune, Rourkela, Trichy, Trivandrum, Varanasi and Durgapur.
