A national level competition aimed at honing the creative and analytical skills of budding lawyers was inaugurated at Amity University here.
The three-day competition was inaugurated by Justice Dipak Misra, Judge, Supreme Court of India, Prof. A K Koul, Vice-Chancellor, National University Of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi, Justice K.D.Sahi, Retd. Judge, Allahabad High Court and Dr. Ashok K Chauhan- Founder President, Amity Group.
Moot Court Competition is a primary mode of clinical legal education which aims to hone the creative and analytical skills of budding lawyers, inculcating in them an expertise to frame laws and prepare drafts.
Their knowledge of laws and constitution is tested by bench of three or more judges invited to assess them.
Justice Dipak Misra, Judge, Supreme Court of India shared several tips with the students to become successful lawyers of the future.
He motivated the budding lawyers to remain calm and composed since, in courts they would have to face several arguments and cross arguments which are bound to test their patience.
Stressing on the importance of legal education in the country, Justice K D Sahi, Retd. Judge, Allahabad High Court stated that the future of the country depends upon the law of the country.
