Welingkar Institute of Management Education and Research organised a gender sensitisation programme to find opportunities for change for the safety of women. Conducted on February 26 the seminar attempted to bring together student-youth and the citizens of Mumbai to address and discuss the complex issues of women empowerment and to find solutions for preventive measures and mechanisms to ensure women safe in the country.
A distinguished panel of speakers representing various stakeholders in society, including Rajan Welukar, vice chancellor of University of Mumbai , Flavia Agnes, women’s rights activist-lawyer, Mona Cheriyan, HR director and member of ASK Investment Managers advisory board and Dolly Thakore, theater personality contributed to creating an action plan.
