The education in Ireland fair held in Pune recently, generated good response from city students. Students had an opportunity of one-on-one interactions with representatives of higher education institutes (HEI) from Ireland and learnt about the various courses offered by the universities and options available for students in Ireland, a statement released by the Embassy of Ireland said here.
Ireland, which has long has been considered as the destination of choice by students from China, Europe and the Asian region, has now witnessed a rise in the inflow of Indian students to the country especially in the fields of research and innovation, the statement added.
The HEIs are looking to build strong collaborative links with Indian institutions to encourage student exchange and convenient mobility for a promising future. Information about the Visa and stay back options was also provided to interested students and parents.
Education in Ireland along with leading universities and representatives from Ireland institutions laid emphasis on further scholarships, ease of visa entry, stay back options, job security and many other pertinent topics to reinstate Ireland as a center for excellence and quality learning, the statement said. Recently, Ireland announced 12 government sponsored scholarships for Indian students. Some of the institutions from Ireland participating in the fair includes Dublin Business School, National College of Ireland, Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) among others.
