Bhubaneswar: Orissa government today introduced Education Satellite (Eduusat) network facility in 40 schools in a bid to provide quality education to the students in rural areas.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the facility implemented by Orissa Remote Sensing Application Centre and spoke to children of 11 schools through it.
Launched with technical assistance by ISRO, Edusat would be beneficial to students as trained and quality teachers would solve probelms of science and mathematics, Patnaik said.
The facility would be available for five days a week where the students can directly put their questions to teachers who would be at the studio here.
The programme would be extended to other schools in the state depending on the feedback from students, official sources said.
