BBA Students Association (BBASA) of M S University has taken up the responsibility of turning 10 girls from S P Pandya School computer literates and to ensure education of three girls from Nanhi Kali Organization as part of its 'save the girl child' campaign.
BBASA has included 'save the girl child' campaign as part of social impact initiative in their annual business game - BBA Baazigar. The grand finale of BBA Baazigar Season 7 will be held on Sunday evening, where the final winning team of the top seven contenders will be declared.
"As part of the Save the Girl Child campaign, we have helped 10 girls of S P Pandya School by paying up their computer fees. We will also be screening a movie for the students. Similarly, we have donated clothes and detergent at Mother Teresa Missionaries of Charity. We are also adopting three girls from Nanhi Kali, a national level NGO of orphaned and underprivileged girls, for their education," BBASA president Rumin Shah said.
One of the teams participating in the business game conducted a counseling session on 'save the girl child' and 'women empowerment', while other participating teams spread the messages of 'Say No to Plastic' by distributing paper bags during the social impact round which was held on Friday.
"Interestingly, eight students participating in BBA Baazigar contest have received job offers owing to the experience they have gained from the business game into the corporate world," Shah said.
During the four-day main event, which came to an end on Thursday morning, the participating teams conducted a variety of business starting from selling food items like cheese naan, pastas and mocktails to selling cosmetics, footwear and eye gears among others.
In the 'creative move round', which was held on Saturday, the teams were required to make an audio-visual film to qualify in the top seven teams for the grand finale which will be held on Sunday at the medical college auditorium.
