The Himachal Pradesh government is planning to rope in private sector to set up ITIs in rural areas to prepare a skilled workforce, a state minister said.
State Transport, Food and Supply and Technical Education Minister G S Bali said, "We will be inviting private sector to set up Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in rural areas."
Setting up of ITIs will help prepare a skilled workforce, he said adding, which will in process boost the industrial sector of the state.
On technical education, he said, "The technical institutes would be strengthened with all modern facilities and government would start new job oriented courses to match the demand of private industries."
Meanwhile, residents of Sarotri village here informed the minister about the problems faced by them to get an LPG cylinders.
The Minister assured them that a new LPG agency would be opened in the belt to facilitate the people living in far flung areas of the district.
