Students of the Indian School of Business (ISB) are conducting a two-day management workshop for staff of NGOs based in Hyderabad.
Titled ‘Diffusion’, the workshop will be held from February 2 at the ISB campus, a press release from the B-School said.
“‘Diffusion’ aims to provide NGO leaders and staff with the knowledge, skills and strategies to be creative and solution-oriented...consequently making a larger impact on communities and their causes. It will also provide a networking avenue that will facilitate learning from peers and experts,” the release said.
‘Diffusion’ has been instrumental in training over 120 NGO staff in the last three years. Last year, the workshop was also conducted in Patna, Pune and Mohali.
During the workshop, students will educate the participants on the latest management practices. Learning will be a blend of case studies, lectures, panel and group discussions and speaker sessions which will enable participants to better their performance.
The topics that will be covered are fund raising and revenue generation, investment in technology, impact measurement, role of social media, social innovation and business models and finance and accounting, it added.
The event is being organised by students of the Net Impact Club at the ISB under the aegis of the Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (WCED).
Net Impact Club at the ISB is a social responsibility club, the first Gold Chapter in Asia, the release added.
