Former AIIMS doctor Mahipal Singh Sachdev, who also runs the super speciality eye care chain 'Centre for Sight', has decided to foray into education.
He plans to soon launch a centre for research and academics in New Delhi. "We would soon open a research centre on which I am
currently focusing," said Singh. Sources said a host of private equity funds has already approached him, as he firms up his plans.
He is also planning to launch his hospital chain in the overseas markets such as Malaysia, Tanzania, Nigeria besides West Asia.
Sachdev said that the Centre for Sight is looking to raise R150 crore for expansion.
"Though investors have evinced interest, we have not sealed any deal" he said. Centre for Sight would also look to go public in 2015, depending on market conditions.
