The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L) and Powergrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL)today signed a Memorandum of Understanding entering into long term collaboration in various areas of business and organisational development.
Some of the areas identified are management development programmes for senior and middle level executives of PGCIL in the areas of leadership development, strategic management and competency development.
The faculty for these programmes will be from IIM-L whereas experts will be from the industry and PGCIL. IIM-L would also facilitate interactions with experts from abroad, officials said.
PGCIL Executive director (HRD) Rajendra Singh signed the MoU on behalf of the state-run company and Devi Singh and Roshan Lal Raina on behalf of the IIM-L.
PGCIL would nominate its executives to various long term and short term programmes at IIM-L. PGCIL would also identify areas and would provide selected number of students of IIM Lucknow with internship opportunities at its corporate centre and regional offices.
The main objective would be sharing of advancements as well as learning from other leading global organisations in the industry.
An innovative area of collaboration would be to jointly explore international assignments in the area of capacity building, institution development and training and development programmes.
