Director of Public Instruction sanctions pooling of 51 specialist teachers

The Director of Public Instruction (DPI) has granted sanction for pooling of 51 specialist teachers.

As per the government order, sanction was accorded for pooling 1550 specialist teachers working in government schools and 133 specialist teachers working against non-sanctioned posts in aided schools

The DPI had proposed that 49 specialist teachers included in the list of retrenched teachers and two specialist teachers deployed in the Teachers Bank also be included in the list for pooling. The specialist teachers are music teachers, PT, sewing and drawing teachers.

Four specialist teachers are from Thiruvanthapuram, six from Kollam, seven from Pathanamthitta, five from Alapuzha, four from Kottayam, four from Idukki, five from Ernakulam, three from Thrissur, four from Palakkad, four from Malappuram, two from Kannur and three from Kasargod.
