Kangra polytechnic to be brought under Himachal University as an engineering college

Kangra polytechnic would be upgraded to an engineering college under Himachal University, state Technical Education minister G S Bali said.
 
For the upgradation of the polytechnic near Tanda, the instructions have already been conveyed to HP University Shimla and Technical Education University Hamirpur, Bali said.
 
"This will help the students of Kangra and Chamba districts, and to implement this, the necessary instructions have already been conveyed to HP University Shimla and Technical education University Hamirpur," he said.
 
Earlier, the minister was welcomed at Dehra, Jwalamukhi and Kangra. Bali, who was elected from Nagrota constituency of Kangra district, returned home for the first time after assuming the ministerial post.
