The President Secretariat has sought proposals for 'scholar guides' under 'Friends of Rashtrapati Bhavan' programme to educate public on various aspects of its archaeological, historical and social significance.
Under the 'Friends of Rashtrapati Bhavan' programme, the 'scholar guides' will educate the visitors to the President's House about its multi-faceted aspect.
The 'scholar guides' are required to have a deep understanding of Indian history, art and culture and must possess a graduate degree or above. They must not be less than 25 years of age and should have proficiency in either Hindi or English, with conversational skills in both languages, a statement said.
The selected candidates will be paid Rs 900 per day.
The engagement of the selected guides will commence from January 1, 2013, it said.
