CII drafts framework to guide academic institutions and the industry in the region for closer interaction

Local chapter of CII has drafted a framework to guide academic institutions and the industry in the region, who are in the process of building closer interaction among them for mutual benefit.

Dr K Sundararaman, Vice-Chairman, CII, Coimbatore Zone, told reporters that majority of the industries want industry-ready students for immediate employment but both institutions and industry, despite making efforts for the last five to six years, has failed to conceptualise such a programme.
  
In view of this, CII has come out with a whitepaper, which would be released during the two-day 10th edition of Regional summit on quality in education, beginning here on November 23, Sundararaman said.
  
Depending on the success the framework would be made available at national level, Sundararaman said.
