Catering to the needs of students aspiring for getting into acclaimed institution of the country and abroad, Gateforum, an established player in preparation for the prestigious Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (Gate) announced its launch from city on Wednesday.
The centre will help students preparing for admission into ME/M.Tech/MS courses in Indian institutes and universities like IISc, IITs, NITs, Government engineering colleges etc. GATE is also a qualifying exam for jobs in reputed PSUs like BHEL, NTPC, IOCL, Power Grid Corp etc.
Rahul Garewal, Deputy General Manager, Gateforum said, "There is a huge gap in quality Gate training module in India. Over the years we have observed that graduates from Tier II and III cities aspire more for participating in the GATE examination but lack behind in quality training. Realizing the need of aspirants we have come with our well equipped centre in city which will train students to pursue their dream of cracking GATE".
GATE is the second largest qualifying exam in India, after AIEEE, with 6.86 lakh test takers for Gate 2012. There were 44883 students who registered for Gate'12 from Madhya Pradesh, out of which 10784 were from Indore. Manoj Sharma, Center Head, said, "We expect the number of applicants to go up to 7.5- 8 lakh next year. This humongous figure itself shows the demand for the exam. Since there are not too many players in the organized Gate coaching market our endeavor is to offer the entire gamut of our services - from traditional classroom programs to eGate, LIVE internet based classes."
