MG Medical College and Research Institute at Pillayarkuppam gets a Rs 15 crore central inter disciplinary research facility

Sri Balaji Educational and Charitable Public trust whch runs engineering, dental and nursing colleges in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu, has established a state of art Rs 15 crore central inter disciplinary research facility on the premises of the Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute at Pillayarkuppam near here.

The centre, inaugurated yesterday by Dr S.R.Rao Advisor to the Union Science and Technology Ministry and Department of Biotechnology, would meet the need to inculcate the spirit of enquiry among medical and engineering students enabling up to date world class services in health care and infrastructure, a release said.

The facility would promote translational research through projects funded by various agencies.
