Delhi University has entered into agreements with two New Zealand institutions for collaboration in the fields of education and sports that will help it gain benefits from their expertise and specialisations.
While the agreement with Massey University will see the two institutions engage in joint online teaching activities in areas of history, science and culture, the deal with Lincoln University will see a collaboration in sports.
An MoU was signed today between DU, Lincoln University and Asia-Pacific Football Academy-Lincoln during the visit of New Zealand Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment, Steven Joyce.
As part of this arrangement, the women's football team of Delhi University would travel to New Zealand for three weeks to undergo training.
DU will also ink an agreement with Massey University on Friday for a distance education partnership that will include activities of joint teaching.
The agreement will also include collaboration between the DU's new Cluster Innovation Centre and Massey University's ICT Cluster where staff and students can potentially work on similar projects.
