DFI-SPR likely to ink MoU with CEPT

Ahmedabad: Pidilite Industries promoted, Dr Fixit Institute of Structural Protection and Rehabilitation (DFI-SPR) is likely to sign MoU with the Centre for Environmental and Planning and Technology (CEPT) University here, to step up its activities in Gujarat.

'We have submitted the documents to CEPT officials today in regards to signing the MoU, and now its upto them,' Director, DFI-SPR Mumbai Dr A K Chaterjee said.

'If the MoU is inked, we are planning to start a series of activities here like imparting training to budding professionals on developing safer buildings, begining of lecture series, besides others,' Chaterjee said.

Mumbai-based DFI-SPR has collaborated with over a dozen institutes such as International Concrete Repair Institute, Construction Industry Development Council, as part of its information dissemination programme about repair rehabilitation of structures and renewal engineering.

There is growing interest from South East Asian (SEA) Countries in India that what it can offer for the upgradation of general construction facilities, Chaterjee said.
