Tamil nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa launched a series of government initiatives through video conferencing from the Secretariat here.
Among the projects she inaugurated included buildings in schools constructed at various places in the state at a cost of Rs 169 crore and a constituent engineering college at Bodinayakkanur in Theni district for which she had allocated Rs 93.64 crore towards various expenses.
She also inaugurated welfare homes for the senior citizens and destitute children in 32 districts of the state, all constructed at Rs 1.76 crore, an official release said.
