UK-India Business Council Chairman Patricia Hewitt said, UK is keen on helping India to reach its target of enhancing skills of 500 million people by 2022.
"We want to deepen our relationship with the government as well as the corporates to create partnerships to impart training to people not having higher education," Hewitt told here at CII Young Indians meeting.
Hewitt is in India leading a delegation of 20 organisations who are interested in working in India.
"Some of them like Bournville College are already working in the country," she said.
UK is mainly focused on imparting training in health, (especially in non-clinical), construction, media and digital industry, she added.
