State level University and a farm university to be set up in pondichery

As part of plans to ensure that Puducherry emerged as 'number one' state in educational sector, a State level University and a farm university would soon be set up here, Chief Minister N.Rangasamy has said.

He was addressing the golden jubilee celebrations of the Government Tagore Arts College.

Rangasamy is an alumnus of the college and graduated in B.Com from the college before taking up legal studies.

Lt Governor Iqbal Singh declared open the commemorative table on the occasion.

The college was the first Arts and Science college set up by Puducherry government.
