Arrangements for the next week Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) examinations are going on in full swing, officials said.
Nearly ten lakh candidates, including over 57000 candidates in the coastal district, are appearing for the competitive examination to be held for 2,353 posts across the state on August 11 and 12.
District Revenue Officer M Venkateswara Rao told reporters, "Altogether 57,512 candidates are appearing for the examinations to be held at 181 centers in 13 mandals of the district on August 11 and 8,738 candidates in 24 centres on August 12."
Among the measures, section 144 of IPC will be clamped near the examination centres while xerox shops and libraries in the vicinity of the centres will remain closed for two days.
"Candidates as well as supervisors will not be allowed to carry mobile phones and other electronic gadgets inside examination hall," Rao said, adding an orientation class will be held for chief superintendents and invigilators on August 9.
APPSC is conducting the written examination for general recruitment under Group IV services for the posts of Junior Accountants in Andhra Pradesh treasuries and Accounts Sub-Service, and Junior Assistants in Ministerial Services.
