Meghalaya government signed an MoU with an animation major to enhance the employability factor of the educated unemployed youth in the state.
The MoU was signed by D P Wahlang on behalf of the Information Technology Society (MITS), under the IT Department, and S H Mawlong, Center Head, Aptech Arena Animation, Shillong.
According to the agreement signed, the state government will sponsor 100 youth by investing Rs 35,200 per student who will undergo training for a 6-month course and Aptech Arena Animation will provide Instructor-Led-Training (ILT) to students on Multimedia, Animation, Graphics and Web Designing.
A certified instructor will train the students on foundation of image-editing and publishing and graphics for various industries including print and publishing.
The course will also cover web design, web graphics and interactivity.
Students will learn to design interactive websites and portals and multimedia presentations with graphics and rich media.
The students who complete this course will be highly employable in advertising agencies, graphic design studios, print and publishing houses and TV production houses.
